On the South side, we find a slightly larger beach with views to Sand Harbor. A tree with exposed roots looks like it is crawling down the hill- with a wide-angle lens, some interesting sunsets can be shot through those roots! It is possible to go out almost to the end of the point from either the North or the South side, but it is not easy to go all the way around due to the large rocky faces.

The best known photographic viewpoint here is from the top of the hill. A short trail leads up to some rocks with a dramatic view of Sand Harbor and the mountains to the Southwest- Tallac and the surrounding peaks. This point is best when sunset is lighting up the sky to the South. The approach trail has some nice views to the North- Incline Village, Rifle Peak and Rose Knob. Still, the iconic view is to the Southwest.
